Clutch revealed

A combat based Racing game, by the name of Clutch, has been revealed by Targem Games. There's set to be a totally open environment to race and smash around in, as well as 20 fixed missions and various other little tasks to take part in. The game is oddly topical as it is based in a world after the Large Hadron colider had powered up, and somehow caused a lot of problems....

Perhaps we'll get down to car fighting when the real power up happens!

Burnout PC dated.

Operation Burnout is telling us that the debut of the Burnout series on our beloved PC has been set as in January 2009. It's a good long while away yet, but make sense as they are doing some serious work to the game, such as adding multiple monitor (up to 3!) support, as well as carrying over the webcam support for online takedowns and crashes.

I'm definitely looking foward to it, perhaps it will pull me away from Trackmania for a while!

DNF is coming together?!

The four horsemen of the apocolypse must have stirred, as supposedly, the mythical shooter Duke Nukem Forever is coming together, in the words of George Broussard. He also says that there are already a few hours of good, solid, entertaining gameplay, and it's now just a "matter of time.

I'm still in shock.

Bionic Commando sets new digital download trend

Describing it as a "friggin JUGGERNAUT" in the world of digital downloads, a "new bar has been set" by Bionic Commando: Rearmed, as in it's short time available via download, it has had an astonishing 130,000 paying customers, as well as many positive reviews. Although a lot of these are from consoles, it still highlights that developers are slowly shifting towards seeing digtial distribution as a primary method of getting games out there, as the success of Steam has shown.

Bad news for those that like their boxes though....

Halo 4 in the works...at GearBox?!

A little rumour in OXM has found it's way to the web, saying that there is a possibility Gearbox is currently developing Halo 4. All of this comes after Gearbox prez has said that they are working on something bigger than big, waaay bigger than anything they have done previously, along with the fact Bungie are unwilling to just keep making Halo games.... could they have licened it out?

It's certainly possible...

Battlefield Heroes Beta to expand

In a recent interview, exec producer Ben Cousins explained DICE's plans to expand the current closed beta of Battlefield Heroes to be large enough so that "any hardcore gamer who wants a key, will be able to get one". Then after this mass expansion they will quietly release it fully. It's an odd way to release a game, but people are always eager to try closed betas, so maybe it's to build a solid playerbase prior to the game's launch?

Project Origin delayed

We have word from the Leipzig Games Convention that the followup to PC hit FEAR has been delayed into the new year, rather than being released this fall. If you didn't already know, the developers do not own the FEAR name, and as such cannot call the game FEAR 2, in much the same way as Crysis is not Far Cry 2, yet they follow the same premise.

Sidenote: appologies for not posting as of late, I have had some good exam results to celebrate!
